There is no guidance or model which would refer to certain concentrations of compounds in the whisky in order to predict the age spirit spent in the barrel. Even single compounds for some distillers/ research group are referred as age markers but not for others. Although, combining knowledge from many studies and books, we created our list of 15 important flavor/ aroma compounds:
